This was unique project on a double lot in Dewey Beach that connects two lots between Chicago and West Street. There was an existing cottage on Chicago Street, the client was able to purchase the lot behind their existing cottage and CRx designed a renovation project that added to the existing cottage without creating a vertical change in the existing cottage. As a result the view from the Chicago street looks unchanged but a massive extension to the rear of the home created a unique single family home with a dedicated owners wing that includes a luxury owners bathroom with steam shower, large walk-in closets, an owners bedroom with a dedicated screened porch, and a full size gym. The connecting hallway features a beautiful den with a stunning white oak shiplap ceiling and views of the central courtyard with pool and outdoor kitchen/bar. The main living area on the Chicago street side was expanded to create a beautiful entertaining space with a luxury chef kitchen, custom cabinetry, and a unique fireplace creating a cozy seating area that also has views of the central courtyard.
